Investor Engagement

The Client

A startup client was seeking to create an introductory investor deck and video to enhance engagement and increase meeting time with investors.


The Challenge:

Selling the science and the company potential in 1.5 minutes

In an era of information overload and message fatigue, framing the story in a quick concise and compelling story  that would appeal to investors, was key to a successful outcome.


What We Did:

Storyboard first

We started by creating a storyboard that began with an emotive and compelling introduction , where the investor could visualize the potential of the company and product innovation. We focused strongly on the key strengths of the team, giving investors the confidence that this was a team that could take the product to market or M&A. We then concisely and simply explained the science behind the discovery and innovation. We ended with the enormous potential and encouraging investors to learn more


Video animation

We then took key aspects of this storyboard to create a short video animation. Working with a skilled video design team we optimized the visual effect of the story and the scienPeer-to-Peer Learning: We recommended that the client facilitate round-table case study presentations, to encourage collaborative care.


The Outcome

By creating a compelling story through a deck and video, we achieved:

  • Streamlined and focused messaging for the client team which they could successfully execute

  • Increased investor engagement  and interest
